Cocktail Bar on the French Riviera: Les Folies d’Edmonde, in Nice Old Town
Les Folies d'Edmonde, a Nice cocktail bar opened in May 2022, is at 16 rue Benoît Bunico, a four-minute walk from cours Saleya, eight minutes from place Masséna and twelve minutes from the Promenade des Anglais. The menu brings together house creations such as Edmonde, Marie-Madeleine, Rosie and Germaine, the great bar classics, from the French 75 to the Boulevardier by way of the Espresso Martini, and mocktails composed like real cocktails.
Rue Benoît Bunico is a semi-pedestrian alley, less busy than cours Saleya, even in July and August. The cellar has only 35 seats: booking is useful from Thursday evening and recommended on weekends. The program, refreshed every two weeks, rotates between jam sessions, hosted karaoke, drag shows and concerts.

Where can I find a great cocktail bar on the French Riviera?
From Nice to Monaco, by way of Antibes and Cannes, the Riviera coast has no shortage of cocktail bars. Les Folies d'Edmonde is in Nice Old Town, on rue Benoît Bunico: a cellar with 35 seats, medieval walls and a 17th-century vault. The menu is deliberately short (house creations, great classics, mocktails), and the program, refreshed every two weeks, rotates jam sessions, hosted karaoke, drag shows and concerts. Should I book in advance?
We are open every day. Booking is recommended at peak times and for groups, at least 24 hours ahead, as it is for private-hire requests.
What cocktails do you serve?
House creations such as Edmonde and Marie-Madeleine, great classics such as the Espresso Martini and French 75, and mocktails including Jack and Elton.
Can we eat on site?
Yes. We have no kitchen, but the neighboring restaurants deliver to the cellar every day; you settle the meal with the restaurant. If you hire the venue privately, you can also bring your own food, at no charge.
